The Saturday Show [2001 to 2005]
The Saturday Show Bumpers

The Saturday Show initially occassionally used a televisual device known as Bumpers - a collection of short sequences one of which was inserted between two items. As the show had a graphical revamp on 12 January 2002, they were put into early retirement.

They were basically 'hip and trendy' phrases that had a plain English translation applied to them - see below to get the point!

cheeky monkey
pushing the boundaries of acceptable behaviour

in the house
gracing us with their presence

keepin' it real
staying true to the original

don't lie
too good to be true

particularly easy on the eye

not up to the required standard
